Aerobatic Training Camps

The essence of a training camp is to provide the competitor with some intense pre competition or level increase training. Enabling pilots to focus and polish their skills in a prescribed environment.  I am also able to provide air show display sequence design and work up as a training camp – one to one only.

The essence of the day, or days, is for pilots to fly up to three critiqued flights each day, including great emphasis on detailed pre and post flight briefs as well as flight preparation. Flights are mainly coached by ground based radio.

Training camps are hard work and require commitment from the pilot. The pilot will then be rewarded with quality training allowing them to achieve their goals.

I have run numerous training camps for flyers spanning from beginners through to Advanced competition aerobatics from 2009/10/11/12/13 as well as training camps for the Advanced British Team in 2007 and 2008.

2014 Training Camp prices (inc VAT);

1 pilot              £250 – typically 3/4 flights per day
2 pilots            £145 – typically 3 flights per day
3 pilots            £125 – typically 2/3 flights per day

2014 Training Camp dates are:

  • 7th & 8th April - Compton Abbas - FULLY BOOKED
  • 12th & 13th May - Compton Abbas - FULLY BOOKED
  • 28th & 29th July - Compton Abbas - FULLY BOOKED
  • DATE PENDING (Freestyle & Display Camp) - Compton Abbas - This training camp is purely to focus on aerobatic pilots either wishing to obtain a DA, or enhance/create their own display. Together we will create the foundations of a display sequence to match your experience and aircraft. This IS NOT an aresti training camp!

Accommodation charges are applicable at certain locations, excluding Compton Abbas.

Training camps are typically hosted at White Waltham or Compton Abbas. I can travel to your desired airfield if so required, however it is the pilots responsibility to make all of the necessary airfield permissions and arrangements. Training camps take place during weekdays only.
